QEII Centre Programs and Events

At the heart of an active lifestyle for over 50's living in Geraldton and surrounds is the award winning QEII Seniors and Community Centre. This centre is conveniently located in the Central Business District on Durlacher Street and is open Monday to Friday from 8am until 4pm.

The centre provides more than just a meeting place and offers a variety of programs and events designed to promote active, positive, healthy ageing. Facilities include a lounge with a library and free tea/ coffee provided.

The Seniors Online Room provides the free use of computers and printing facilities plus you can book in for a one on one technology lesson with a volunteer.

Assistance and resources for seniors

QEII Seniors Resource Centre

The Seniors Resource Centre is a "one stop shop" source of information for seniors and their families on various topics such as the Seniors Card, Safety and Security Rebates, Regional Fuel Card Scheme and also refers to other senior service providers.

Thanks to funding from the Department of Local Government & Communities the vision of the Centre is to promote positive ageing and engagement with the community is achieved with the support of the following service providers:

  • Foodbank Geraldton
  • Midwest Multicultural Association
  • St John of God Palliative Care Services
  • Visibility Australia
  • WA Country Health Services Geraldton

QEII Senior Group Users

Senior community groups which utilise the QEII Seniors & Community Centre on a regular basis:
